Historic tartan waistcoat... just finished sewing

I have been wanting to make a tartan waistcoat for some of the reenacting I do for the 1790-1815 period. I just recieved this beautiful fabric from a friend and believe it is just a fashion tartan (although close to Maclean of Duart). I then started handsewing like a mad man. End result... a double-breasted waistcoat with stand collar. I am pretty excited and plan on getting some use out of it already this weekend.

Great work! You should be proud of that beauty. How long did it take you?

Excellent. Very stylish. Did you also make the rest of the outfit? Wear it in good health and "here's to the future of the past."

I'm not really a fan of Tartan waistcoats, but that is beautiful.

    Nice looking.
Did you use a pattern, or make it from scratch?

Very nice indeed. Covered buttons and all. You have a lot of patience to have sewn that all by hand. Well done, Isaac.

Excellently done, I am very impressed with the fact that it is hand sewn.
