Sgian Bru from the Scottish Trading Company

I have a number of sgian dubhs, but my 'go to' sgian is not a dubh but a bru from the Scottish Trading Company. I'm an avid kilt wearer and get asked frequently about the antler in my sock. The inquirer gets a quick lesson on sgian dubhs, and I reach down to pull it out commenting this is actually a sgian don't that gets more use than a knife. Always gets a laugh.

Made in the UK and only 35 USD. A deal!

Did I say it's great for pubbing?

    Ern,

I take my sgian bru with me more often than a blade. When asked about the antler in my sock, I wax lyrical about sharp little black knives, but this one is lethal if you're not a human but a crown seal - then pull it out and brandish it! Always gets a laugh.

    Cheers mate,
    Grizzled Ian
