Oh, darn, this is getting hard. As our old song says, far across the Chattahoochee ... stands Benning School for Boys. I really need to be saving my money for Kilt Kamp, but Chattahoochee is calling my name. Well, it's not using my given name, actually. It's saying, "Hey Old Fool, give in to temptation just one more time."

If you check with the Scottish Register of Tartans at

    http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/qRe...=chattahoochee

you will see the Chattahoochee tartan. If you click on the tartan, you will see a larger representation of the tartan along with a bit of its history. If you again click on the "larger" tartan, you will be taken to an even larger image, though the picture James posted is "better" ie an actual photographic picture.

Below is another picture of the tartan (compliments of James at Burnett's & Struth) with some folds in it that to me produces a more 3D look to the cloth.

Because of the sett size, I believe this tartan can only be pleated to sett in a 4 or 5 yard kilt. Check with James for the official word about pleating. And again, good luck on your decisions.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
