Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

You can't prevent stupid. Well-written article, Mr Graham. Excellent rebuttal.

I have read Stewart's article as well. It is seething and nearly fever-pitched.
Clearly there is an underlying psycholgical drama playing out in this sad, strange little man's grey cells. His cheese has certainly slid off of his biscuit!

Going by the earliest depictions of Jesus (youthful, Apollo-like, unbifurcated, effeminate by today's extremely-macho standards of masculinity), the man invalidates his own Saviour. I believe the word he should add to his vocabulary is "falacy."

Good work, Graham. I didn't bother to read Stewart's "article," but I appreciate that your rebuttal was made without rancour or personal attacks. That adds weight to your very reasonable argument.

Well written article. I don't understand how the original author could not have found a military history of kilts with just a simple google search. You would think that if you are going to declare some inanimate object to be evil, you would double check your arguments.

I thought Mr. Stewart's article was hilarious and should get published in the Onion.

Also...be honest...does the guy on the right in the photo look like he's wearing a kilt or a woman's midi skirt?

A very well considered response to his diatribe.
I'd love to see the response of an 18 stone, well muscled Maori wearing a Piupiu during a kapa haka to his claim of 'men in skirts are sissies'.
Suddenly a certain song from Mel Brooks Men in Tights springs to mind...

Rather than a well-thought-out and written article to which the original article writer is unlikely to heed, how about we offer him a free trip to Scotland?

He can then go up to the military pipers in Edinburgh or the guys out drinking in Glasgow after a wedding and warn them how their stupid, sissy effeminacy is imperiling their immortal souls!

He may be surprised at what happens next, but I'm sure the Lord loves a Martyr.
