R'Lyeh Tartan Kilt by Barb Tewksbury

Well, I finally got someone to take several photos of the kilt Barb made for me using the R'Lyeh tartan. The kilt is wonderful, the photos not so great, as the lighting was very poor. The sporran and belt you may recognize as custom work from Artificer.

I will try to get some better shots, especially to show off the green flash, but not until I can get more natural lighting. Cheers!

Congratulations. Exquisite work and outstanding craftsmanship - on all three items! Very handsome. You're right about the light. It doesn't allow the colors of the kilt to shine through. Bright sunlight would likely remedy that. I look forward to the sequel.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Looking good, Jim! So YOU were the one that got Barb's "Flash" R'lyeh kilt! I hope to see it this year at Teslacon. Maybe I'll wear mine w/the waistcoat for the Saturday Ball.

Absolutely smashing. Isn't it amazing just how good simple, superbly crafted items can look. Colour me green with envy.

Yes! What a beautiful kilt. You have to show how it takes advantage of the colors in the pleats.

I wasn't sure those pics that Barb posted with the 'green flash' were of this kilt or not, but I can tell you that it definitely catches your eye when you move about. I've got to get some outdoor shots to show that. I am planning on wearing it to Teslacon for sure. Your waistcoat is awesome btw. My compliments to the tailor!
