    Tweed vest from USAK

I had some money burning a hole in my pocket and really wanted a GOOD tweed vest.

I knew Rocky carried them but I wanted a vest with lapels, which is much harder to find. Then there is pic of Roky, wearing a vest with lapels! I contacted him and found out they could be special ordered.

Went to the store (it is truly dangerous living only one hour from USA Kilts) and got measured. Eight weeks later I was holding possibly the most well-made piece of clothing I have ever owned (with the exception of one of Rocky' wool kilts.) The vest fit perfectly, and is a nice dark charcoal so it goes with everything. I wore it to a play/reception that evening, to a program at the local historical society later that week and to a Barleyjuice show a week later and received a ridiculous amount of compliments on the vest. (How versatile can you get?)

When I consider that it was less than half the price I would pay for a off-the-rack vest from Orvis, et all, and it fits better, looks better, and will most likely be my favorite piece of clothing for years to come, I cannot be happier.

Many thanks to Rocky for making this happen!

Hmmm... Maybe we should raise the price for your next one.

I absolutely love lapel vests (or collared vests as they're called in Britain) and also have one in charcoal grey wool flannel from Paul Frederick. Distinctive, versatile--they dress down as well as they dress up--and they're fantastic worn with Highland daywear, a look favored by HRH The Duke Of Rothesay (when he's in Scotland). Well Done.

Wait a minute, you're telling me that I can order a tweed waistcoat (in my choice of tweed, and that goes with a matching tweed jacket) with lapels?! Rocky, why didn't you tell me this, mate?! Hahaha!

I'll be sure to request this on my next tweed jacket/waistcoat order.

    Cheers,

P.S. - Rocky, I haven't forgotten. I'll be giving you a call soon, mate. Thanks for your patience.

At some point in time I'll get some photos posted. After 24 years in law enforcement I tend to be paranoid about where my image ends up.

Therefore just post a photo of the waistcoat!

BTW, I'm the same. You don't have to do 24 years in law enforcement to be careful who takes your photo simply because you never know where it might end up these days.
