The Art of Kiltmaking Singing the praises

My fingers are full of holes and my hands are sore but my fat rump is covered in fine knife pleats in Isle of Skye.
Barb, your book is a wonderfully written and nicely illustrated set of instructions. I only wish my talent with needle and thread did justice to your literary work. I am now the proud owner of an 8 yard hand sewn ( can a p/v kilt be called a tank?) kilt in Isle of Skye. I messed up a few things but am proud of it anyways. And using your book as a guide I made a machine sewn 5 yard casual reverse kingussie for around the yard.
I will ever sing your praises and will and have recommended your book to anyone who will stand still long enough. Thank you!
And as has been pointed out elsewhere in the forums... without pictures it never happened. So .....

You can certainly sew a kilt but you're not much good at posting photos! Ouch, my neck!

It seems that when uploaded to Xmarks as attachments, portraits taken in portrait orientation get rotated into landscape. Not sure why and haven't myself seen a way to fix it.

The kilt does look great though! Well done, and be sure to post your next one as well.

It rather depends on what software you are using. I'm using Windows 8 and, when I open pictures they are automatically opened with the windows photo software. This software will allow me to rotate the picture if I so wish. Demonstration:

I'm ex military with 31 years of service. I was always taught "never volunteer for anything"!

Anyone using Windows 8 can do it. You don't need to be an IT specialist.
