USMC Leatherneck Standard
I received my SWK USMC a few days ago, and was very impressed with it for the price, as most seem to be. It's a little short, so I have to wear it at or slightly below the belly button! However, I don't think it looks odd; in fact, I prefer kilts at that height compared to at the bottom of the ribs. The buckles are a little rough and require some sanding/polishing, but that's to be expected. Overall I'm quite happy with the purchase!
Oh, and I weighed it and compared its weight to the weight of my USAK casual. They're both 1.8#, so a heavy pin is necessary, especially in North Dakota!
Edit: The kilt is also quite a bit darker than the photo on the website, but still looks good.

Thanks, Ive been researching on getting another kilt. Have a USAK casual and a homemade 70/30 wool blend. Thinking about a stillwater next.

If you're over 6' tall with a normal build I'm pretty sure you'll need to wear it about where I do, but Jerry's kilts seem to fit most everybody decently off the rack.

Reason I've never owned a Stillwater kilt is my kilt length is 21 1/2" Lots of us aren't the "standard" (who figured that out?) 24" length...

I have the same problem in the other direction. 26.5" length. Prevents me ordering some tartans that come in SW. Frustrating

SWK does custom lengths by request as described on the website: "If you need a non-stock waist size or length, we can often do custom orders. They can take 1-4 months, and a modest surcharge may apply. Email us for details."

As do many others, but chasem's problem is that some single width tartans aren't long/wide enough for him.

I have had my SWK Leatherneck Standard for many years now. I'm no expert, but have always found it fits well and is a good value. I also get many compliments, especially from the one person that matters most.

Looking forward to seeing pics. I have a Leatherneck tartan "tank" that I got about 15 years ago. It "shrunk" as I got older, and now I have the SportKilt USMC kilt. Good value for the money. Too bad you are not closer, you could join us at the Clan Leatherneck tent at the Richmond Va games in October.

I am running out of kilts to order since my kilt addiction took hold of me a couple months ago and I just found out about this tartan. I didn't even know there was a USMC tartan until a few weeks ago. I just placed an order for 2 of the standard kilts. I love the colors of it from the photos, will have to see what it actually looks like when they come in.
