    Well Worth The Wait

I received my new Artificer sporran last week. I finally got around to taking a picture. The craftsmanship is exceptional. This may inspire me to make my R'lyeh kilt while a Kilt Kamp

Looking GREAT, Truitt! I can't wait to see it with your soon-to-be R'lyeh Sett. I think ray skin has become the unofficial leather of that particular tartan.

For those who wanted a more detailed shot of the cantle-

It is German Silver, pierced with an "X" pattern and goddess' eyes, and studded with custom made rivets.

I really think this sporran would be equally at home with day or evening wear. A rare feat.

Scott beat me to the photo, but here's another showing the cantle detail.

The silver cantle is difficult to photograph. Scott did a better job of it.

One of my goals was to come up with a sporran that would be equally at home with formal wear or at the highland games.

Working with Scott on the design was an absolute pleasure. He took my photos and chicken scratches and turned them into a series of professional-quality sketches showing suggestions and options. And his final work speaks for itself. His queue might be long and his work isn't cheap, but it is a bargain considering the quality of craftsmanship and the level of customization.

Thanks, Scott, for the beautiful sporran
