Awww...thanks! The socks are from a lady named Kathy Park who does tartan hose. She dyed the wool to match this kilt, and also some to match Emma's Tangerine Dream.
It's funny that she does look pleased. You should have seen her during the 30 minutes prior to the picture, when I was making her try all her dance gear on! Boo hoo hoo...
I told her that the longer she took to smile for the picture, the longer I was going to make her stand there.

The only problem with making kilts for these girls is that they keep growing at an alarming rate! Tomorrow I have to bite the bullet, and try to make Emma's kilt a bit bigger, as she has already outgrown it. Yikes!

You did a lovely job! And think about how much more you will learn when you now resize the kilt!

    That's priceless! Thanks for posting!

Thank you one and all for this wonderful thread! It's XMarks at its best, my favourite kind of thread, allowing me to vicariously experience the beautiful tartans and pleating decisions and hard work and fun and camaraderie of the Kamp. (I also love pic-filled threads about Games in various places around the world.)

I've attended one camp, by Elsie Stuehmeyer, and it was amazing, one of those 'bucket list' things I'd long intended to do. I recommend attending one to any kilt lover.
