another Artificianado joins the ranks!
My first Artificer sporran is on its way!
Here it is
I've wanted a sporran like this for decades. Finally getting my hands on a MOD cantle, and seeing and hearing about all the wonderful things Artificer does with them on this site, have combined to make my long wish a reality.
It's exactly what I've always wanted, an understated somewhat plain Culloden look. That leather is amazing, looking somehow vintage even when new.
When it arrives I'll post an updated "one kilt several looks" post.

As expected, a truly beautifully crafted heirloom piece.

Well done, Richard! Congratulations on joining the ranks.
@Kilted Cole, does this sporran look familiar, mate?

Congratulations, Richard ~ and welcome to the Club! We are very fortunate indeed to have Scott practicing his Art in out day and age. The leather on your new beauty looks like it will feel as soft as butter. Great colour, too.

Thanks guys!
Is Cole by any chance the owner of this Artificer beauty? It was indeed my inspiration! The second I saw that type of leather I knew it's what I wanted. I just wanted fewer tassels, and to have a bigger pouch.

Thanks! It's kinda hard to say though...
My kids grew up having to endure my silly word-play and English-bending, my making up characters like the sisters Hanna & Anna Hanahan just because I like the sound of their names...

Thanks! But I'll have to decline the credit for the term, because it actually quite old, making its first appearance in Geoffrey Chaucer's Cadbury Tales, specifically in The Tale of The Wife's Bath.
