Orionson,
Please put me down for a length of kilting cloth if and when it will be produced in the new year. Might you be able to provide a few details, such as price per meter/yard, whether it is single or double width, and weight of cloth?? Thank you for posting these images!!

Very 'modern' looking fabric. I am sure PH will make a beauty for you. Please post many pictures when you both have obtained your finished kilts. Can you already reveal something about the envisaged pleating?

John you already know my views on this, but I will add them here too. It is superb! A real credit to all involved, I look forward to seeing it in person when I get to Skye.

@Stephan, thanks for your interest. I've sent you a PM.
@hector, we will indeed be posting lots of photos. We're both having full 8 yard knife pleat kilts - no news yet on the pleating specific options choices. To the Sett is always a front runner, but I'm also very eager to see the various striping options Paul will present us with. No doubt, we'll post those options pics here, too to see what the Rabble think. I'm dying to see them. The only thing that IS certain is that we won't be trying to emulate the original - which was pleated "to nothing"! Hector, when you say it is very "modern" what precisely do you mean?
@Grizzly, Simon, your views are always welcome and greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to your Skye journey, too. The door is always open. Have you any idea of when you might be thinking of coming up?

Nice job. It would be very interesting to see a length in-the-grease (unfinished in modern weaving terms). That would be even closer to the original material.

Hi Peter,
Here's a shot of the cloth still on the loom, 'in-the-grease'.
As far as I am aware, the cloth was simply washed, there were no other finishing processes applied.

On the next run, I think I'll ask Robin to cut my length straight from the loom before the lot goes off to the finishers for the wash. I really fancy a Kilt in this state.

That's very nice. Looking at the picture in the OP it looks as though the material has been roll pressed after washing which makes it smoother.
