Would any of the leatherworkers on the forum be interested in a project.
I have a project that I believe could generate enough business that one of our hobbiest, or someone currently working out of their home, could potentially open their own shop.
I won't go into too much detail here but this is a kilt related item with a proven sales record.
This would be a long term, re-occurring project . The volume is not high. I'm not looking for mass production of hundreds per month. But it would be high enough to give a kick-start to someone wanting to open their own shop yet needing a contract to get going.
I would provide the design and all the dies, jigs and fixtures. I would submit orders on a monthly basis.
You would source your own leather, tools, and consumables.
There would be a signed contract about design rights. This contract would also set out pricing and minimum volumes. It is just this sort of contract that a hobbyist would need to take to the bank to get a start-up business loan.
If anyone would be interested please contact me via Freedom Kilts - steve@freedomkilts.com
