Entirely New Offering For 2015!
Hi All,
Sorry it's been so quiet here lately, much has been going on that couldn't be commented on until now.
I'm pleased to announce that everything is now fully operational for engraving services and work in Sterling Silver.
The first fully engraved piece has just rolled off my workbench and is ready for the public eye.
Hand Built German Silver Cantle, Engraved with several of the Pictish Symbols from the Aberlemno Standing Stones.
Unfortunately it is almost impossible to properly photograph, as the silver is so reflective that, even in a lightbox a truly straight-on shot ends up reflecting the camera/my hands.
In the second picture the highly polished foreground is reflecting the dark blue draping, which allows you to get a bit better idea of the details, while the textured recessed background is grabbing the defused light from the lightbox I shot the picture in.
Body in hair-on calf.
Stay tuned, there is another engraved piece that will be rolling off my bench very shortly! That one is being done in Sterling and a very different style of engraving.
As always, constructive commentary is more that welcome.

Now I know why you were so excited about this project when we got together at the Wisconsin games. A great addition to your repertoire. I can only imagine what your work will look like as you continue to perfect this new skill. I bow to the master.

Scott: Both beautiful and elegant. Impeccable craftsmanship, as we've grown to expect. Congratulations. If there is ever a sporran museum, it will be animated by some of your work.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
