Scott, I have watched you and your creations develop from the very start. Although not all of your sporrans have been my cup of tea, I have always admired the workmanship and dedication to your craft. Your work with hair sporrans, leather sporrans brass, cantles and now silver cantles shows the passion that you have and the desire learn more. Good one mate and I hope your wish comes true one day. You have a standing order for a copy of your book from me, Cheers ( Full disclosure - I am the owner of wo of Scotts creations.)
Shoot straight you bastards. Don't make a mess of it. Harry (Breaker) Harbord Morant - Bushveldt Carbineers

To the photographing (and taking a completely different direction of the thread) of the cantle - I don't know what you are using to light it with but if you polarize the light and the lens (yes, you need to do the lights too) then you can remove any reflection from the polished surfaces.
Sincerely,
Chris Shepherd

Mmmm, Thank you for that. I may have to look into a few square feet of polarized theatrical gels. I'll have to mock something up for the camera lens though, it doesn't have a threaded or bayonet attachment point for a filter.
