    Going back to your basic question regarding copyright of a coat of arms, you may want to look at this page from the American Heraldry Society website. The advice on copyright and trademark was furnished by attorneys with experience in these areas, although they would be the first to say that it is not "legal advice" and doesn't establish an attorney-client relationship between them and the readers.
