The Freedom Kilts accessoris section is now live and active

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

I know it has been a very long time, but I am very pleased to announce that the accessories section of the Freedom Kilts website is now fully active.

Our new and revised website went live this last weekend. In addition to the custom kilts we have always offered, almost all the accessories we carry in our brick and mortar shop are now on our site.

I have been working to manually update all the inventory. With so many products to update it may take me a few more days.

I would like to thank everyone for their patience these past years. Freedom Kilts is a small shop. We have always concentrated on offering the best service we can to our customers. We have selected the accessories for our brick and mortar shop to complement our contemporary kilts. We have continued these principals with the accessories for our website.

It is, and always will be our goal, to offer a few, select items, instead of trying to stock everything possible. We also have our exclusive items found no where else such as the Carry-All Sporrans, our Kilt Kut Suit Coats and our exclusive Tartans.

X Marks members will find that our X Marks exclusive section far easier to order from than the system we have used in the past.

I have included a blog on the new site where I hope to post some of the articles I have written and continue the tutorials on making Contemporary Style Kilts.

I hope you enjoy the new website.

I do believe it is for posts such as this that the good Lord taught us to pray...."and lead us not into temptation."

    *sigh* Temptation.

Oh...and .... nice new site, Steve.

    *sigh* Temptation.

Or, one could live one's life according to this statement (attributed to the cartoon character Sherman on the Mount)"

    Fantabulous, Steve and Bobbie!

I'm perplexed. What brick and mortar store? Have you moved?

I haven't worked my way through everything yet, but when on the kilt pins page, the images appear smaller than postage stamps. When I left clicked on them nothing happened, clicking once or twice. If I right click on them and the menu opens, I can select open image, and can then see a larger, but not too large an image.

A hearty oorah! and hooah! to the both of you.

    Steve,

Are you still offering your Heritage Hose? Didn't see them listed under the kilt hose section.

    Yes David, we are.

As I posted last year I have a brand new circular sock machine. It works far better than the antique one we had before.

The hose this machine turns out are really nice.

but I'm having a bit of a problem finding a source for good sock yarn. I found one company here in BC that is doing hand dyed yarns but I am spending $50.00 just for one pair of hose.

    They call this color Abyss

    And this Inca Gold

Here is what Inca Gold looks like knit up.

    This red is amazing

As is their Marshland for a magnificent green mixed with brown.

My hands down favorite so far is this woodsmoke.

It takes me about 4 hours to make one sock and a good day to make a pair. So, my problem right now is finding a way to keep the price reasonable.

    Steve,

Very nice! I was hoping that you would offer a dark red option. Is it still best to order the Heritage Hose via an email to you?

Congrats on your website redo Steve.
Do you have pictures of your fabrics (including tweed & tartans) some where that I missed?

    David,

I only have two skeins of the deep red right now. That's one pair of hose. The lady who dyes these is moving both her home and shop right now. I am having to buy retail until she opens back up in Feb.

I purchased all the Red there was and currently have an order for a pair in the red ahead of you.

I honestly do not know when I will be able to get more and crank out a pair of hose.

But yes, shoot me an email.
