Two thoughts to share with you; My daughter and son-in-law do the Warrior Dash, Spartan Run and Tough Mudders. Based on what I know of their experience I'd have reservations about running in a kilt made from tent canvas. I'm thinking it might be more than a bit uncomfortable. My second observation is that when I first started wearing the kilt I wasted a lot of money buying inexpensive "compromise" kilts. Whether you're buying a kilt to wear in competitions or for wearing on the street save yourself money and grief by getting the right gear.
