Surprised to see this in the Daily Record, UK

Surprised to see that this group photo (including me) was in the Daily Record, UK. (in the gallery near the end)
It was from New York Tartan Week on Ellis Island. There was a pirate theme, highland dancers and a juggler.
I was there all weekend, doing a kilt and tartan information table.

Good pics, Heather. Did not notice in the first one how McTavish is being distracted by one Scottie so another can check his under-kilt attire?

Lovely photo log. I have to say Alan Cumming is right out there with the Oor Willie tartan suit, love it.

Interesting. Thanks for the link. It is great to see Scotland achieving greater recognition in the USA.
By the way the Daily Record is a Scottish, not UK, newspaper. It has a sister paper, the Daily Mirror in England.

Looks like it was quite the party!

Those highland dancers are from Ottawa and I have danced with several of them many times. Small world!

While it is a Scottish paper, it is available in many places all over Britain, I can if I wish pick it up at my local Newsagents and several others here in Norfolk.

What a nice picture ...although the pirates look a little out of place. Where was their plaid?

What caught my eye in the gallery was the pipe band wearing loud McLeod. They sure must be a sunshine on a cloudy day when they march down the street.
