    Fabric

The fabric came yesterday. No extra charges and it is beautiful stuff. Heavy Cotton twill, not stiff and it feels very soft. It really is Medium kilt weight as they advertised. I haven't shrunk it yet. I hope it holds up. It was a great deal at 15 dollars a yard, around 54 inches wide. A very heavy small package. I will post if I ever finish the gown. It is MacRae and a Douglas is on sale as well. The other cottons are 25 dollars a yard. I will be keeping an eye on their other sales.

Not sure if you were intending to post a photograph, but it does not look as if anything posted.

I tried to post the picture, but it didn't work. Not certain why.

Those of us that, "need to see to believe" are waiting for the photo, given the description, expectations are high. You thought you had pressure waiting for the fabric.

I, and the others, are wanting to see something new to us (from your own hand). Surprise us!

what do you think? Sorry it's sideways. Baby steps.

    Thanks to Father Bill!

Tarheel, my OP was a question on what other ladies wear for events. I'm challenged in the sewing skills, so I had someone make my bodice. But I too want to see photos from scots3rdgen.

I got that the question was for the ladies and what they wear. Still, you had the vision of your final ensemble. May I add that you wear it well.

You're a very pretty lady and I agree that you wear it well! I love the tartan rosette.
