    Tartan (American) Football Field

My high school apparently has America's most intricate end zone design for the football field, being that of the Gordon tartan.

I guess they just redid the field, because when I worked there just over a year ago, it was not like that, and the scottie dog in the middle of the field was falling apart and coming up.

It's kinda cool...except for the fact that the school tartan (specifically the tartan that the pipe band wears) is Dress Gordon, not regular Gordon. But whatever. Still cool.

An interesting choice, but I feel the blocks out of which the “plaid” is made are a bit too large, making it hard to recognise that it is a tartan at all, let alone Gordon.
And when the band needs new kilts, they should consider ordering regular Gordon, rather than the dress sett – or else have a unique tartan designed for them.
