    New Scottie Puppy!

After our beloved Isobel, the family's 3rd consecutive Scottish Terrier, became suddenly ill and passed, in early July, there was a huge, aching hole in the home and one more open wound-becoming-scar, on our souls. 35 continuous years of Scottish Terriers leave their indelible furry marks.

'THRILLED to announce, adoption of 3-month-old Hamish Otis, who has already become a solid member of this empty-nester family. Hamish radiates puppy-joy, is independent, smart, funny, fun...attributes we have long cherished in the breed. A toddler successor to treasured memories of Maggie, Angus and Isobel.

PLEASE do not ask for photos, as 'am not a smart phone / digital camera person. Look up black Scottie puppies and you will get the idea of his noble puppy-countenance.

Commiserations on the loss of Isobel I know what it like we gradually lost the bunch in my Avatar.
Congratulations on getting Hamish, we are still looking for another rough collie, but have got a temporary delay due to inheriting a cat.

So sorry for the loss of Isobel, it is so hard to lose a canine companion.

With the exception of the first six months of my married life my family has always had dogs. I will always be amazed by the love and devotion they bring.

The Q - We have a smooth collie who is my son's other half, he is our first collie but certainly not our last.

It's nice to know someone who knows what a smooth collie is they're such a rare dog. We had a friend who bred and showed them with some success. A bit more active than a rough, no huge coat to carry around.
