+14c dull over cast for most of the day, wind changing between south westerly and southerly and on the river Bure between 0 mph and 12 mph depending on the trees.

After we lowered the flags for remembrance at the silence, on today Rememberance Sunday.

Interesting sailing, you could get 500 hundred yards ahead and then sail into a hole in the wind, and everyone would catch up . in both races we had a turn at the back of the fleet but eventually we won both races ( just).

New England has been unseasonabley warm - 60-70F (15-20C). But I'll take it. The longer we go not having to heat house the happier I am. The leaves are all pretty much down now so it's constant raking and mulching.

Just now (7 PM Mountain Time), here in Bayfield, Colorado it's 30*f. Should go down to around 25*f. High tomorrow should be 58*f high.

However, I just got back from Scots on the Rocks games and festival in Moab Utah where the high was 53*f and at about 7 pm last night whilst watching the Wicked Tinkers it was a bout 32*f. I made empirical observations and determined a UT Utility II kilt is inadequate for that temperature. The band and the festival was good fun though. Low over there last night was about 28*f. They had decent haggis made by BYU Catering and very good scotch eggs. Dead Horse Amber Ale was pretty good too.

Light winds everywhere and sunny too at the appropriate times. Supposed to snow in Bayfield Tuesday but not much.

I live in the Mid-Atlantic, with homes in Baltimore, MD and Fenwick Island, DE. The saying in these parts is, "Don't like the weather? Wait a minute."

Here's an example. 1) On Friday my wife and I were walking around downtown Annapolis and the weather was sunny and 81 degrees, which is highly unusual for November. (I also saw a sporran I may go back and purchase this week.) 2) On Saturday we went to the Irish Festival and the weather was rainy and 56 - a 25 degree drop. 3) I drove to our beach place today and stopped to photograph two bridges along the C&D Canal - walked a couple miles along a bike/hiking trail in 60 degree sunny weather. 4) As I type this (12:30 AM Monday) the sky is clear and the temperature is 36 degrees (f).

Albuquerque is going through fall fast this year. Two weeks ago we all needed our swamp (evaporative) coolers because the highs were grazing the 80s F. I had to shut down and de-water 5 coolers, mine and neighbors, in short order because we went to grazing freezing at night a few days ago. Anyone up for fried green tomatoes? Don't know what else to do with them.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Right now, as I lay in my brand new, cosy bed, it is blowing an absolute gale. I fully expect the bins to go flying any moment now...
