    Wool Black Stewart

Pulled the trigger on a Black Stewart wool kilt yesterday.

I have been wanting one for a while. A recent thread about kilted camping is what made me decide to take advantage of my size being in stock.

No fooling. It was maybe 40 minutes between the "Thanks for your order" and the "Your order has been shipped" emails. My kilt ought to be here in plenty of time to make a few alterations like shortening it.

    Thanks Jerry!

The BS is a great choice for hiding the sooty hand smudges from campfires and cooking. I keep towels handy but still get smudges at my hips.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

It's become a little more expensive than I anticipated. I knew I was going to get it shortened, but I knew how much my tailor would charge. So I figured that into my budget.

What I did not anticipate was there being no stabilizer/interfacing on the under apron, so the strap was pulling directly on the fabric. So I paid to have that corrected. What a bummer.

At least now I have a kilt that will wear better and longer than it would have otherwise.

    Me Too

    Congratulations Mikilt,

I also have had a Black Stewart from Stillwater. It's a good casual kilt and I like the combination of colors.
I loaned it to another fella to try and he decided to get a kilt, but in the Michigan tartan.

The wool Stillwater Black Stewart kilt is a handsome one.

You will not be disappointed wearing it.

    Cheers
