What does one wear to Pride Weekend in San Francisco? The Kilt of course!

This weekend I was in The City with my Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess who was attending a Veterinarian Conference. It happened to be Pride Weekend

    In Union Square

Heading out to go see Beach Blanket Babylon

Stopping for a pint on the way to the big Pride parade

    At the parade

It was a splendid weekend full of music, color, dance, and smiles. While I was constantly encountering (and being reminded that I am not one of the) hip youngsters, apparently those hip youngsters think that highland dress is pretty cool

    Cheers

Very nice Panache. Which veterinary conference was it? (I've just completed my first year working in practice as a vet assistant, un-kilted of course).

    Pacific Veterinary Conference.

According to Star they had a lot of really good speakers this year.

Thank you gentle sir. Who knows, as I progress in this field, I may cross paths with you and the FHAG at one of our western conferences. If so, we should be easy to spot.

Volunteering at Pride Toronto this year. Thought about going kilted but just didn't happen. Maybe next year.

    well done!

I lived in the Hillcrest Neighborhood of San Diego for 7 years. PRIDE is THE event to be at. It's wicked hot, sunny, sweaty and crazy. A kilt is appropriate on all levels! I have kilted for PRIDE SD for several years, and I find it to be completely fun and appropriate! Looking great and your flame goddess is too - love the pic with the martinis!!
