    IE scottish fest

My wife and I went to Oak Glen for a small festival at snowline apple ranch. It was very enjoyable with music and dancing and apples. We went to Rileys first where we always go to hike. There is a conservancy there with a few miles of trails. My dog grizzly really loves to go run there although by 2 miles he looks up with eyes asking if maybe I might pick him up. ID:	29045 my wife and grizzly. There is a sign near by that warns visitors to beware of bears, mountain lions, rattlesnakes and stinging nettle. The stinging nettle is the most dangerous. Click image for larger version.

I'm not surprised that Grizz likes sweet apples. With his (and your) energy levels, he needs the extra "sugar boost" to keep up with the adventures. Keep posting my friend.

Non-locals may wonder what "IE" might mean.

Interesting, in Calgary we get PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) from Spokane, Washington and they also refer to themselves as the Inland Empire.

Thanks for that, I didn't know that.

It goes to show how terms that people in a certain locality think have a specific referent, don't.

The thing I've found working at Disneyland and talking to people from all over the USA is that there are "tri-cities areas" everywhere. I'll ask people where they're from and they'll say "The tri-cities area" as if it has specific meaning. They could be from any city in any county in the entire nation.

Just Googled "tri city auto" and the first five results are in five different states

    https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=tri-city+auto

    Ditto "tri-state area".

Oh, and there's "central coast". There has to be 20 states with a region called that.

So now I know that "inland empire" is one of those!
