New Website Resource for Highland Games

    Hi all,

I just went live with a new website resource for the Highland Games. It's not a business or another forum, so hopefully I'm not breaking any rules sharing it with you all here. This is just for fun.

I'm an athlete, a certified judge, currently on the Board of the Scottish American Athletic Association (SAAA), and have been an athletic director and a Festival Board Member. I just want to share information with other athletes on competitions, practice groups, specialty equipment sellers, and other fun stuff. Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think.

If you're in a practice group that's not listed on the site, let me know and I'll add it to the page. Same goes with the implement suppliers, events, etc.

On November 5th, I had the privilege of judging the inaugural North American Women's Lightweight Championship at the Moab, Utah (Scots on the Rocks) Highland Games. These women broke 7 out of 8 World Records, and I've taken on the task of hosting their official record page on this site too.

So, there's lots of stuff to see.

    Thanks for looking.

    Jim

Thanks for your efforts Jim. I'm sure it will become a "go-to" site for the games and participates.

I'm a very big fan of bacon but im a bit baffled how this came about. May I ask for a little clarity. Was it a good night of humour and drinking which gave birth to the idea 😀

There were a few adult beverages involved.

I've listed at least one fabricator that offers hammers. I will be putting a couple more up soon.

Cabers are a little difficult. I will post a link to a DIY caber video, in case finding a whole tree trunk is impossible in your location.
