what would you do? wrong tartan delivered!

    Greetings, everyone!

Today was the big day- the long awaited arrival of the kilt we ordered for my husband for Christmas! We opened it up this evening and...womp womp... I'm 99% sure it's the wrong tartan.

We definitely ordered Rose hunting ancient (I have the email confirmation of this)....and we definitely got Modern Hunting.

What would you do? This has to be rectified, but we did order it in mind as a Christmas gift, and in plenty of time to have it for a wedding in early January. Do you think there's any chance we'll get this sorted before our January deadline? Any advice appreciated!

That really does depend on where you ordered the kilt from.

Have you contacted them? Are they agreeable to replacing the kilt?

    I wear the kilt because:

We ordered from Nicolson- I would never have thought they'd have screwed up! We haven't contacted them yet, as they were long closed by the time we got the box open. We're penning an email now and plan to give them a call first thing in the morning.

Then may I suggest you give them a chance to respond to your email and phone call. It is their product and they deserve to know and an opportunity to respond.

Oh of course, absolutely. It is just quite a stressful situation given the time scales involved. We'll see if there's a response tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed.

Please post a photo so that we can confirm it is in the wrong color scheme. Different mills use different shades.

Well said David without a photo of the kilt in question we are merely guessing.

Which fabric, tartan mill and tartan range did you order from Nicholson's ? If it is wrong, there is enough time to get another one made somewhere providing the right version of the fabric is available...
Let's see how you get on with Nicholson's
