With you on that one too, uncle remus, 'cept the first non-NY non-BC Kilt Kamp is gonna happen in New South Wales, Australia, 'kay!

Seriously, folks, I won't make it to Hamilton College this year; and BC in '18 will be too close to the next Scottish Country Dancing Unit 2 and 3 exams for candidates in Australia, as examiners only come to Australia every third year.

The reason for doing it in either Clinton or Victoria is that there are travel costs for only one of the instructors (Steve lives in Victoria and I live in Clinton. We would have to either raise the cost or have someone in a local area help with travel costs. But in principle, it could work.

And I was thinking that if it was in the Rocky Mountains I might make it this year.

To host a Kilt Kamp -

Someone would need to step up and be ready and able to deal with the following issues at a minimum.

    1) The travel expenses for both Barb and I. To and from our homes to Kamp.
    2) Lodging for both Barb and I for the length of Kamp plus one day on each end.
    3) Local ground transportation for us both. i.e. Rental cars.
    4) Rental of a suitable Classroom.
    ...a) 1000 ft sq. min.
...b) Tables and chairs for each student
...c) Power available for each table and for irons
...d) Close availability for meals for lunches
...e) Close to housing for students
    5) Collect and be responsible for class fees.

Things have come to pass that there is now a fair to good chance that I will be able to go to Kamp. It will improve my chances if there is any one from this end of the world going that I could car pool with, at least a fair portion of the trip. So is anyone headed north for Kamp? I am also will to share a room.

    Thanks,
    Christoph
