    Couple of pics

We did a gig on Sat, but what made it extra special ... a friend of a friend brought along someone who is deaf. So for a few songs she was able to join in by touching our fiddle players fiddle. ... amazing

Your pic of your friend experiencing the music through touching the soundbox of the violin puts me in mind of a story I read about a social gathering at Gallaudet University. The students took large speakers, put them face-down on the floor, cranked up the amp and played records (it's an old story.) Everyone danced in stocking-feet, in order to better able feel the vibrations of the music in the wooden floor. Hearing with your feet and talking with your hands. Humans can be very adaptable. Especially when fun and frolic are involved.
