Uniform of the Rothesay and Caithness fencibles

I've just come across another version of the portrait of Sir John Sinclair of Ulbster wearing the uniform of the Rothesay and Caithness fencibles. Here's aside by side comparison. On th left is Raeburn's portrait with which many of us are familiar, on the right is Benjamin West's portrait.
