I recently finished some alterations on a kilt jacket and waistcoat that came from an estate sale and through eBay to me. The seller had pieced out all the items of what must had been a piper or drummer's outfit from quite a long time ago. My good friend, "Kilted Cole" got the sporran, I believe the kilt may still be listed, and the price was negotiated to an agreeable amount for the jacket and waistcoat. I really wanted this one as the vintage, simple but elegant look is not something you commonly see today. Upon receiving it, I found a label. Although a kilt jacket, it was made in Chicago in 1911.
