    DIY 1790s fèileadh beag

I have a historic piping gig in May and decided that I needed to make a proper kilt for the period.

Looks great. I'm about to begin making one myself, so your timing in posting this was perfect.

I love seeing how the outfit comes together, with the old style waistcoat.

The balmoral might look in more historical shape if it's fully Jocked. Granted, most of the follow-up posts talk about corrupting the process and using basins of water instead of the full wild coursing burn as originally proscribed

Thanks for the comments. For what it is worth, that bonnet is plenty shaped. When wearing it with the historic kit like this, I pull it forward and not over the side. This appears to be more correct in terms of wear.
