I will agree with everything Panache is saying above, one thing I find helpful for any outfit is to not mix formalities.

I pop in to catch up and I'm disagreeing with everyone!

I Love the jacket and tshirt with the kilt.
    However
    - unbutton it and wear open for a casual relaxed look.
    - the white stocks and runners are ... ugh
    - coloured hose and boots, please
    - don't tailor the coat to much as a roll neck jumper under it in winter would look great with kilt or jeans as well.
    - dreadlocks the hair.... just because I like dreads!

    I think it looks great

Can anyone tell me what the kind of shoes in Jamie's picture are called? I'm rather inexperienced with leather shoes.

Way to take risks, dude. I like the jacket.

Also love the hair. Shave it off, make a wooly sporran with it, and then grow it back.

    Liam,

Basically you are looking for a simple laced shoe with a leather upper, and a nice rubber sole. You don't have to spend a fortune. Target generally has a few styles at any given time and Ross is a great place to find a nicer brand at a clearance price. What I am look for is something that would look nice with a suit for all but the most formal occasions yet still is comfortable enough and has a rugged enough sole to walk on for miles if need be.

    Cheers

    Jamie
