Hello from Ohio!
Hello everyone!
I've lurked here on and off for years. I've always been interested in the kilt, and Scotland in general. Ever since learning of Sir William Wallace (despite the historical inaccuracies of the movie that got me hooked. You all know which one it was...) and the link to my family (my mother is a Wallace) I've been absolutely fascinated with the culture. Fast forward a bunch of years and my cousin gets married. We all wore sportkilts in the Wallace green tartan. Mostly a budget issue there, as it was the only budget minded option we knew of at the time.
Fast forward another couple of years. I'm now engaged to a lovely woman and planning our wedding. I just ordered a custom Stillwater standard in the Wallace red tartan for the wedding, and plan on ordering a couple of economy models for daily wear.
I'm excited to finally be here and part of the community, and hope to learn as much as possible, and eventually have some input of my own.
