See my previous post. What I originally wrote was "well you can". I gave it a moment or three to register, then called up 'edit' at the lower right, and wrote "my post was just stupid, so I deleted it".

Try it in this thread; it works.

No delete function in any browser or OS. When I look at my permissions, I can edit, but nowhere does it say delete and there's no delete button or function. There should be.

Anyone may edit their own posts. If you wish to remove material simply edit it out.

But only the staff may delete posts. Removing an entire post from the middle of an active thread leaves a hole in that thread.

Deleting an entire post is normally reserved only for spam.

(Note; A staff member will not edit another person's post without their permission. They will also not delete a post without good reason and will notify the other staff members if they do so. This is done in the Moderators section of the forum with the Moderator flagging the post which retains a copy of the offending post before it is removed from the open forum. This is done under Rule #1, where the action of hackers and spammers are addressed. No Spam. Not today, tomorrow, not ever.)
