    New Kilt

I've finally had time to get some good pictures of the kilt I've finished.

It's box pleated out of fabric I had left over from the first kilt I made, many years ago, giving me a chance to try out Barbara Tewksbury's instructions...which I also picked up several years ago :-) This has been a long time in the works...hope it passes muster!

I like the way you used the white line to break up the horizontal, could have had a real lawn chair effect but the white is such a sharp contrast that it make the vertical stand out.

    Thanks!

I can't see the pictures either, although they're in my "attachments"...so some can and some can't see them...I'll ask the folks that know, and get it fixed.

You have to go to the forum list and click on the paper clip in the title to see the pics. When writing a post instead of attaching an image there's a button that looks like a pic of a tree which is next to a button that looks like a film strip. Click the tree button to insert images.

Victory! :-) If anybody else gets stuck, there's a button in the editing window that looks like a picture frame around a tree. This allows you to add a picture right into your message. It's next to a button that looks like a film strip (which inserts video).

A good show on your kilt. Thanks for sharing your success. I like the vest and shirt combo you have in the photos. I believe you will be able to brighten the ensemble with different color hose, vests and shirts for more casual outings.

Thank you. I'm working on some hose and a sporran. I have the intro models, but I'm making some nicer bits and pieces. Who knows...I may even manage some tartan one of these days :-)

The contrast apron to pleats looks very good! Nicely done.
