I can just imagine THAT conversation (similar to some I had growing up):
"Now Charles, you're NOT going out in THAT! Go back to your rooms and have your valet select something more appropriate!"
"Mother, I'm a grownup now, I can wear what I like!"
"Yes son, but I'm not only your mother, I'm your Queen! Now SCOOT or we'll be late!"
"Yes ma'am."

You are of course right, Royal Scots (red-blue-green) rather than the Black Watch/RRS (red-green-blue) which is interesting, I've never seen him wearing it before. Not sure why he would as he was not their Colonel in Chief whereas he was of the BW and HM The Queen is CiC of the RES.

I like that sporran. The closest I have been able to find is from the artificer at customsporrans[dot]net. Does anyone else have a source?
I was also wondering out of curiosity, do Kinloch Anderson mainly make HRH the POW’s kilts, or is that just a royal warrant indicating that they use or have used them at some time? I understand that Elsie Stuehmeyer has made one from HRH the Duke of Cambridge some years ago.

That sporran is at least 1930s, possibly older and yes, KLA do make his kilts. Don't think either Princes William or Harry are fans of the kilt which is shame.
