Box Pleated Kilt clarification please
Hi “The Rabble”,
Here’s wishing you all a healthy and happy 2018
I am confused about the treatment of the two deep pleats in a box pleated kilt.
TAoK shows the inverted pleat folded 50/50 between pleats and underapron (illustration on p88) and Barbara Tewksbury has confirmed this in a forum response.
However the illustrations on pages 29 and 30 of the supplement for box pleated kilts shows the majority of the inverted pleat beneath the underapron/apron.
Does the construction of a box pleated kilt differ from that of a knife pleat one in this respect?
Many thanks
Terry
