Yes, I did enjoy the day. I went into the shop but gave myself the luxury of sleeping in and showing up 2 hours late.

We had ice cream cake at the shop. I worked on the robe for my wife and when I got home worked on the model train layout I just started that will be enclosed in a coffee table.

After 67 birthdays I am less interested in presents and it is a hassle calling the fire dept. to warn them before we light candles.

At my age I feel that any day I wake up still alive - "I win."

So thank you one and all for the posts. It really helped make the day special.
