New sporran made of Badger and Coyote with recycled leather.

This nice cantle and buckle set seems the correct finishing touches for this latest sporran. The inside lining and outside of the bag were made from a recyled leather jacket. The pelt was what was left over from the full masked Badger I made last year. The Coyote fur came from another coat.

That's a nice sporran, I like the contrasting furs. Personal opinion only I think it would perhaps look better with only the three higher tassels, but readily accept it might also look odd, never know till you try.

Good bit of work, and reusing leftovers or "old" unused items is always plaudible.

Thank you, I did look at that option while I was composing the sporran. I chose the four tassle arangement as it seemed more distinctive to my eye. Thank you for the feedback though.

That's gorgeous, class all the way.

Badger fur is wonderful! Lovely complexity to the colours.

I love that cantle. I'm reminded simultaneously of the Uffington Horse and the opening title sequence of Game Of Thrones.

And those cones for the tassels are fantastic! With the balls at the top just like you would see in the Victorian period.

For example this sporran, a common pattern still in production today.

But the one below is an early example with classy touches like the ball shapes at the tops of the cones

Latest sporran styled on the Glengyle type design

This is a sheered Coyote pelt upcycled from an old coat on a hand stiched and glued bag that is lined in contrasting suede.
Took about thirty hours on this project over three days. I am donating this for a pipeband fundraiser my band is holding.

I have always admired this type of sporran. Hope I did justice to the design.

Thank you. I do rather like the cones on your sporran as well. Quite a beautiful piece.
