If I had the means, that is the exact jacket design (though another tartan choice) I would have. I like the waistcoat lapels but think they would feel bulky under the jacket. This is a nice gift your family has given. My compliments.

    Great looking outfit

    Great looking outfit!
I'd love to see your variations on a theme as you mix and match with other waistcoats and jackets. Hope you have some nice dark green and red Gairloch patterned hose. That would set it off nicely I think. A truely wonderful job sir. Well done!

Looks good, Shaun, but I'll bet in Texas that's a shocker!

The vest is a nice touch, but with the jacket it overpowers the senses. For me, it would really need a contrasting jacket or vest. Then again, I have a 3-piece corduroy suit...

Stellar. Really, the tailors nailed it.

    I've fancied a combo myself.

Love the combo! I see a tartan waistcoat to match my Ireland's National kilt in the near future. Thank you for the inspiration!!

    I love it!

I've lost a lot of weight and will need to get a new kilt. I'm planning to order from USA Kilts, since they have my tartan in 13 oz weight and I think that will be more practical when I'm back in Florida. So I've been tempted to go all in and get the vest and jacket, too. My tartan is Boyd, so it is similarly red, green, and bold.

    Wear it with pride.

    Andrew
