    Tartan jacket

Came across an article in the local paper, about an upcoming musical performance featuring a Canadian (born in Scotland) musician. Interesting jacket ( appears to be canadian provincial tartans, but can't tell if it has all ten... plus two for the territory's?). Maybe the Wizard should have a similar one, kilt style?
( not my cup of tea, but maybe I could do something similar, in a kilt...)

Interesting jacket. I'm not sure I would have gone with that many tartans if it was me picking out the material, yet it really does draw attention.

I'd say that one tartan per jacket is plenty.

Not provincial tartan themed because his right side is Cape Breton - a nod to Ashley and Natalie? Nova Scotia is his left sleeve. I suppose all the stuff in between could be the Strait of Canso

    He's a performer. It's a costume. A good one, but a costume.

    Gruesome.

John McDermott has a lovely voice, though! I very much recommend his Scottish and Irish folk music albums.

I think the right-side, front of the jacket is Newfoundland tartan, and the left sleeve looks like Nova Scotia tartan.

I rather like it. Full disclosure: I own a patchwork plaid madras jacket that I wore earlier this week, on an unseasonably warm day. So you have some context for my opinion.

I would draw the line at a matching kilt, however

The Scottish designer Siobhan MacKenzie does something similar in some of her work, but usually alternating a single tartan with a single tweed, rather than the tartan rainbow seen here.

It looks like a jacket Don Cherry would wear. For those of you not from Canada google him....
