    New/Old Sporran

Ever since I cast my eyes on some of the rebagged MOD sporrans on here I have had sporran envy. I have looked high and low for brass candles but they are really hard to get hold of at a reasonable price.

I was leaping with joy (hand already in wallet )when MacRobert offered me his back up and agreed to post in direct to Morrisons sporrans.

weel fast forward a coule of weeks and his has arrived, along with really nice straps, what you can't see is the internal strap that will allow me to put an iPhone in their and for it to remain upright and easily accessible.

Gregg from Morrisons sporrans was a pleasure to deal with and sent me some samples to assist decision making, I went for a darker leather than originally intended and I'm very pleased that I did. An unexpected benefit, perhaps it was a subconscious choice, means that the sporran matches my boots, could have been cut off the same cow.

Friday tomorrow, so will get first public airing, will try to arrange picture.

Very nice! I like that colour too. It just looks good with brass.

The strap is interesting. Looks like a 4-part flat braid just for the front portions on each side, then it links to a flat strap around the back?

That's beautiful. Yes the colour and texture of the leather are great.

Looking forward to seeing pics of you wearing it.

I do love re-bagged MOD cantles!

Here's mine, quite similar to yours!

Yes, sporran envy is a thing. Some several of us "suffer" from it.

Oh, that is lovely, I'm sure the sporran envy has quickly left. I have 2 sporrans with MoD cantles they are my favourite sporrans and the first I grab for. I'm sure you will enjoy it for years.

Ah fantastic! I am so pleased with how it turned out. It looks amazing and is worth every penny I am sure.

    Very well done!
