Auld Lang Syne Red?

I’ve seen the tartan presented below on a couple of kilt makers websites listed as “Auld Lang Syne Red”. Is this not Maxwell? Am I missing something? The two look exactly the same to me.

You are spot on. The STA has three tartans named Auld Lang Syne on its database and this is not one of them, it's Maxwell as you say. Can you post links to the offending companies and I, in my STA capacity, will contact them.

I actually bought tartan sold under the name Auld Lang Syne Red. It's not sold that way anymore, though. I made the kilt before I found out it was actually Maxwell. I like the tartan, but I really don't wear it as I am not a Maxwell and any connection is several centuries old.

Psst...we really are going to have to compare those trees, as the Maxwells I have are in that tree too.
