PS. I like brown and tan items (belts, sporrans, shoes, etc) with kilts.
A good question! Like you, I like brown shades. As for the leather, it's something I too will take advice on. Conditioner of some description I suspect, but I bow to those with greater experience than I. Thank you for your kind words though..

That is a wonderful looking sporran, well done. I'm sure it will give you a lifetime of wear.

    Day Sporran...

It has a 5cm gusset and I used a Sam Brown's stud to fasten it. I have made the chain rings removable for use with a simple leather belt.

Well done! That is really quite nice. I picked up a "Best Damn Sporran" from the folks at Damn Near Kilt 'Em: Black, rather well constructed and not a budget buster. Hangs a bit low when hung with the hangers clipped to the rings on the beltloops of a utility kilt so... I rejiggered the mounting method a bit and it is much better. Not sure about the capacity just yet. It does have lots more room than my other two, though.

Excellent work! I'm also a fan of solid, sort of plain but well crafted leather things. I like it, especially your nice sewing job, which is a LOT harder to do well by hand that most folks realize. I'll have to practice a lot before I try sewing one of these!
