Online article about the Romans in Scotland

There will be some who are interested in this, particularly the book referenced in the article. I don't think however, that the archeologist, Dr. Jones in question, was ever known as "Indiana".

My wife used to work at the National Museum. One of the curators there really opened my eyes to the Romans in Scotland. We tend to think of it just as the Antonine and Hadrian Walls but the interaction was much more nuanced.

This book by Dr. Simon Elliott is really worth reading. Finished reading it last week and found his approach in presenting the argument, which was the latter 1/3rd of the book, is really well argued by the background information provided in increasing detail and focus from the state of the Roman Empire, the Emperor, his family, and then moving into the focus on his invasion.
