    Non-traditional Sporran

Of my kilts, only one of them is a traditional tartan and I have a nice sporran for it, but my other kilts I don't wear a sporran with them. I do however have a 6x6 511 Molle pouch that I am thinking about using as a sporran on occassion. The pouch I have is a little bulky, so I'm looking for a slightly smaller one.

What do you guys use as an alternative to the sporran?

    Better solution

How about a Stillwater Survival Sporran instead

    https://store.stillwaterkilts.com/St...ran_p_198.html

It will look more the part of a sporran

    Cheers

Good choice, my favorite. I also often ware a vest in lieu of a sporran. Lets more of the tartan show and often more convenient to access vest (depends on the type of vest) than digging through a sporran.

I recently purchased one of the Stillwater sporrans mentioned above and like it very much. Before that, I had a pouch similar to the one you displayed but it was more rectangular instead of square-ish. That worked well too. I have also ordered a Rude Tool Belt like the one Howie Nicholsby uses but haven't received it yet.

    Best,
    Jonathan
