    Putting on the McRitz

My better half and I went black-tie formal (mostly, I went over the top, and wore my belted plaid as well) for Members’ Night at our local theatre club.
We were the only ones dressed to the nines, but as the play is partly set in Scotland I thought we should make the effort.
Many compliments were given us, and one of the ladies said she hadn't seen the like since she before she came to Canada from Scotland. (The better half gave me a knowing look...)

The club is putting on "Be My Baby", and another kilt of mine, the Campbell Ancient, makes an appearance on the lead character for the wedding scene. (And the pleats get flipped up at the female lead, as his character feels her character is a total pain in the rear.)

Our younger son is also in the play, but only part-time (and in Saxon garb), as he and another actor are sharing a role.

Been away from the forum for a while, but hope to be back here more regularly!

    Cheers!
