I have thought about doing a local 5k. I have been running barefoot for about 10 years. I never was a marathoner but a 5k would be a breeze. I do not have a good kilt for that activity.

I got a good deal on a basic Sportkilt. I ran the Atlanta 10 Miler in that a couple of weeks ago. It was surprisingly comfortable, keeping me warm in the 43 degree temps before the race, but swishing enough to provide ventilation once I warmed up on the run.

I wear shoes, though. Atlanta streets are not a place you want to spend time barefoot.

i had some knee and foot problems and rarely wear shoes when not working.

Sorry for posting a non kilt photo, but when climbing steep rocks in the Middle East it does not seem appropriate.
